I really like Aleks Sennwald's work...I think he's a guy, but I'm not sure.
It's caricuture-y, yet flowery and "perty." Just the way I like it.

There's an element of psychadelic 60s concert posters to his work, combined with a tiny bit of darkness/weirdness. He takes everyday people and turns their portraits into something surreal--as if creating an entirely new persona for the person. Specifically, I like the portrait of Chloe Sevigny as creepy, manipulative Nicki on Big Love, and the portrait of Cat Power.

Check out his website here. He's repp'ed by The Loud Cloud, which also has a lot of other kick ass illustrators.
